Our installation is part of a vast lighting project for the Villa Medicis, the Academy of France in Rome.
The concept behind the lighting of the façade overlooking the piazzale underlines the absence of a series of statues that left the Villa with their previous Italian owner, Ferdinando de’ Medici. The two Torrette at the top, signal the Villa and its liveliness to the rest of the city. At night, they become lanterns in the heart of a symphony of domes, bell towers and volumes that punctuate the Roman skyline.
